Sev Berd or Black Fortress built in 1834 in Gyumri, Shirak Province, Armenia. It is a national cultural heritage monument in Armenia. The fortress is a 360-degree round structure made of black stone, from which it gets its name. This is a one floor fortress with two protection entrenchments right and left to the main and the only entrance. The entrenchments were used to be filled with water for protecting the fortress.
