Matosavank
Monastery
Distance: 113
Location: Tavush
Matosavank is 13th-century small Armenian monastery, hidden in a forested area of Dilijan National Park in the Tavush Province. It sits in close proximity to the monastery of Jukhtak Vank as well as to a nearby cemetery. Rough-hewn stone elements of different shapes and sizes were used to erect the architectural monument. Entrance to the church is decorated with cross stones and only one window illuminates the inner room on the west side. The church is currently in ruin and is relatively difficult to find since trail markers are often misleading.
