The Areni-1 cave complex is a multicomponent site, located near the Areni village in southern Armenia along the Arpa River.

The mysteriousness of Areni-1 is connected to archeological excavations done in the cave. During these excavations, many subjects such as a straw skirt from 3900 BC, the oldest winery and the oldest leather shoe in the world.

But a considerable part of the cave is still unexplored.
