Lavash is a thin flatbread usually leavened, traditionally baked in a tandoor (tonir). It`s typically made with common ingredients like flour, water, and salt.
Lavash might be the longest bread you’ve ever seen as it ranges from 50 cm to 1 m length.
In 2014, “Lavash, the preparation, meaning and appearance of traditional bread as an expression of culture in Armenia” was inscribed in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
You will have once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make that exquisite bread on their own and then try it.
