The church of St. Hovhannes Mkrtich was founded on August 24, 2006. Its consecration ceremony was held on May 14, 2013. The church was built with the help of Mr. Gagik Tsarukyan’s charity. Around 40 sculptors and gem-masters participated in the sculptural works of the luxuriously built temple with the height of 50 m.

The main architect of the church is Artak Ghulyan, and the constructional engineers are Hovhannes Meyroyan and Tigran Dadayan. The internal paintings are the works of Abraham Azaryan and Hayk Azaryan. However, the architectural team of the church grouped around 40 painters, sculptors and architects.
